Round 5 2017 v Rokewood-Corindhap

We welcome Rokewood-Corindhap to Bungaree today for what shapes as a good test before the Interleague break. The Hoppers’ look to be an improved outfit this year and the Dees will need to maintain their focus if they are to take away the four points.

Last week was a difficult one from a football point of view with our U12’s the only team to come away with a win, whilst the netball courts saw victories in the C Grade, U17 and U15 grades.

The boys toiled hard in the seniors but lacked the composure and foot skills to make Waubra pay when they had the ascendancy. The Two’s were beaten comfortably by an incredibly well-drilled Waubra outfit, whilst the U18’s and U15’s put in improved performances but fell short of wins. Our U12’s led the way with a gutsy win and got on the board for the first time for 2017.

A couple of pulsating contests fell the way of Waubra in the A and B Grade before the Demons put in commanding performances across the C, U17 and U15 Grades to record comfortable wins.

Tonight we are holding the Bungaree Cup; a chance to mingle with all the new and existing players, parents and supporters and have a bit of fun. There will sweeps and prizes throughout the night, and don’t forget to bring your best (worst) hat and jacket to make it a real country racing affair.

Our next home game will be our first major function of the year, with professional hypnotist Jimmyd in the house to present his Hypnotic Playground. Come along for what promises to be a hilarious night, starting from 7.30pm.

Go Bunga!
