Founded in 1905, the Bungaree Football & Netball Club has grown to become one of Country Victoria’s most respected and successful community sporting clubs.

Located in the fertile potato-growing district east of Ballarat, the club was originally formed by pioneering farming families of the area. Bungaree was a founding member of the Bungaree District Football League, later joined the Clunes League after World War II, and became a foundation member of the Central Highlands Football League (CHFL) in 1979.

Today, the club continues to provide a place for the descendants of those families, as well as the broader Ballarat community, to come together through sport and social connection. With over 250 members and more than 80 loyal sponsors, Bungaree is recognised as one of the most professionally run and community-focused clubs in the region.

We offer opportunities for all ages and abilities in both football and netball, supported by strong junior programs, family-friendly facilities, and a proud culture built on hard work and inclusiveness. In recent years, Bungaree has enjoyed great success over the years, including multiple CHFL Champion Club Shields and memorable football premierships that remain part of our proud history.

Our focus remains on building a bright future through strong leadership, development pathways, and a welcoming community spirit.
