Round 4 2017 v Waubra

A huge trip out to Waubra today sees the Dees with a terrific chance to set up their season with a win. The Roos are undefeated and coming off the back of a huge win over Daylesford and the boys will need to replicate some of last weeks effort if they are to move their ledger to 3-1.

Last week’s senior game was one for the ages at Bungaree as our young side put in a massive effort after quarter time to record a 13 point win over a strong Hepburn side. A stellar performance at full back from Matty Harrington led the way, whilst Dave Benson dominated in the ruck in what was a truly team effort.

The Reserves were in the game all day but fell short in the final 10 minutes, whilst the U18 and U15’s suffered heavy losses against impressive Hepburn sides. The U12’s let Hepburn off to a start but put in a good second half only to go down by 3 goals.

In the netball it was a great day of competition on the courts, the A Grade eventually going down by 5 goals. Emma Hills was the Demons best. B and C Grade had strong wins to keep their unbeaten season intact whilst the the U15’s were our other winner for the day in a close match.

Our first social event of the year is quickly approaching with the Hypnotic Playground taking place after our Round 7 match against Creswick at home. Hypnotist Jimmyd will take to the stage in what is a guaranteed good night, see Brittany Wade or Matt MacDonald for tickets!

Finally, deepest sympathies to the O’Keefe family on the passing of life member Kath. Kath was a great contributor to the football club over a long period and will be sorely missed.

Bunga!
Up the Dees!
