Round 7 2017 v Creswick

Welcome to Creswick this weekend as we square off in a number of important battles across the board. Creswick have had a frustrating start to the season with a few close losses, although hit their straps with a terrific win over Daylesford last week. As ever in this league, our boys will need to play well to bring home the points.

Last week the boys overcame a pretty ordinary first half to put the foot down after half time and record an 80 point win. Dave Benson was unbelievable in the ruck whilst Jackson Murphy and Matt Sheridan had busy games in the middle of the park.

The Reserves hit back with a solid win with Dan Maher putting in another great performance and the returning Sam Mewett nailing 6 majors from midfield. The U18’s were able to frustrate Skipton for 2 and half quarters before the dam wall broke and the lads eventually went down by74 points. The U15’s and U12’s both came up against slick outfits and went down in performances with plenty to like.

The netballers made it two in a row and squared the ledger after disposing of the reigning premiers and now sit 10th on the table ahead of todays clash with the Wickers. The other grades all recorded wins to emphasise a strong start to the season on the courts.

Tonight we have the Hypnotic Playground at the Bungadome, hosted by Melbourne personality Jimmyd. The show is open to all ages 16 and up and promises to be a great night. Games and a DJ set are to follow so make sure you get along and support what will be undoubtedly one of the functions of the year.

The Ball has been rescheduled for July 8 at The Miners Tavern so lock that date into the diary and keep an eye out for more details in the coming weeks. Be sure to check out our new and improved website at w ww.bungareefnc.com.au for all the latest news and info.
