Round 3 2017 v Hepburn

Welcome to Hepburn this week for what shapes a crunch match early on in the season, with both sides coming off losses before the Easter break. We hope you’ll join us for a drink or two both during and after the game.

Before Easter it was a tough trip to Beaufort fro all of the football teams with the Reserves the only team to come away with the points. Our senior boys were well in the contest for three quarters, but bad kicking is bad football and the Dees were unable to convert their inside 50’s to meaningful scores. The Crows were far more efficient by foot and that came to roost late in the third when we were opened up by some terrific ball movement.

The Reserves were winners in a great game of twos footy, our young boys showing plenty in an important early season win. Three losses in the juniors didn’t quite reflect the effort and performance put in by our young guys.

On the courts it was a clean sweep against an improved Beaufort outfit, Grace Todd outstanding for the A Grade as we registered our first win of the season.

Unfortunately due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, next weeks ball has been cancelled. Keep an eye out for a replacement function announcement soon, but in the meantime make sure you mark down May 27 in your diary for our Hypnotic Playground function. Professional hypnotist Jimmyd is bringing his hypnotic playground to Bungaree to cast a select few under his spell. The show will take place after the Round 7 home game against Creswick, starting from 7.30pm.

Up the Dees!
