Round 17 2017 v Ballan

Well just like that we’ve reached the final round of the season and the last game for our Reserves, Under 18 and Under 15’s sides. Thanks for your contribution throughout what has been a tough year numbers wise and we hope you’ll be back next year for another crack!
Today we face Ballan who have had a tougher year than the past couple and will be keen to finish off their season with a scalp. The A Grade netball will probably provide the match of the day however, with the two sides a decent chance of facing off again next week in an Elimination Final.

Last weekend the boys put in a terrific effort, particularly in the first half only to come unglued in the final 10 minutes. Dave Benson was enormous again for the Dees in what has been one of the great individual seasons, whilst Zac Denham and Jackson Murphy’s hot run of form continued.

The Reserves battled to get a team on the park last week after a host of senior injuries and the scoreboard showed, but it was a much improved effort after quarter time with Justin Dummett and Alex Richardson the Dees best.
It was a tough day at the office for the U18 and U15 sides, battling against top sides. Bailey Holloway and Isaac Beaston were the Dees best.
The U12’s were our sole winner for the day, annihilating the opposition, with triple goalkicker Hugh Trigg the best player.

It was a good day on the courts with the Dees flexing their netballing muscle taking 5 of 6 games against a traditional powerhouse. All 6 sides are finals bound, with at least 4 sides (B, C, U17 & U15) guaranteed of a top 4 finish.

Stay tuned to the Facebook page this week for our schedule of matches ahead of next weeks finals series.

Tonight’s presentations are back at Rocca’s shed, we hope to see you out there to send of the home and away season in style.
